1952 White House UFO Flyover

UFOs over the White House

UFOs seen flying over the White House in July 1952

There was a wave of incidents where UFOs were spotted flying over Washington D.C. from July 12th thru July 29th, 1952. The UFOs were described as “orange balls of fire” or orange lights. On July 19, 1952 air traffic controllers at what was then Washington National Airport (today known as Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport) saw the UFOs on radar. Harry Barnes, a senior air traffic controller, later wrote this about the UFOs :

We knew immediately that a very strange situation existed . . . their movements were completely radical compared to those of ordinary aircraft.

This wave of UFO sightings caused a lot of commotion due to the locations of the sightings. However, many people have never heard of the incidents. It’s worth further investigation, and there is plenty of info online to explore.

Did UFOs fly over the White House on several different days during July of 1952? It certainly seems like it. So the question is - was the White House chosen for specific reasons, or was it just coincidence?
